Madeline Erickson was born and raised in Iowa and has a passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Madeline was a dancer for 13 years and an NDA All-Star National Champion. Completing High School with an Honors Distinction Diploma, Madeline takes pride in her academics and teaches others the importance of staying involved in school.

Her senior year, Madeline raised funds for Royal Promise Non-Profit before heading to Ghana for 2 weeks where she spent time learning and teaching the students at Royal Promise School. Madeline is altruistic and enjoys staying active in her community.

Last year, she was a sports intern at KCCI, Des Moines' leading news station which helped her gain confidence in using her voice and breaking barriers in predominantly male industries. She is currently a college student majoring in Broadcast Journalism with dreams of becoming an NFL Sideline Reporter. She is a sports reporter for her University's TV Station and is the founder of her platform "Girls Can Too," which focuses on championing young girls to follow their dreams by building confidence, improving communication skills, and making connections.

Madeline is deeply humbled to represent the state of Iowa and plans to use her title to make a great impact on her state over the next year.
